About Me
Hi! My name is Acadia (yes, like that national park) Herbst. I graduated from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire in May of 2022 with a degree in Interdisciplinary studies with a focus in sustainability, art/design, and entrepreneurship. The driving force of my major is my small business 111Threads.
(website www.111threads.com & instagram page @111.threads). For a recent college graduate I certainly don't have your average job or job experience. My side hustle gone 24/7 commitment has changed my vision for life. I'm looking to be apart of a business that values the same as my mine; sustainability, self expression, creativity, producing change, and innovation. I'm a lively, passionate and efficient person who thrives in a creative and open minded environment. I'm a motivated goal setter and I pride myself on my strong work ethic, passion, and adaptability. I'm looking for a company / internship that I can grow with and contribute success to it's community and business. Art, design, and sustainability is my passion. When I'm not working you can find me in the art studio, in the woods, or on the mountains. I'm an avid snowboarder, skateboarder, hiker, kayaker… basically anything outdoors you’ll find me there! |
About me // Interests // Involvments
I grew up snowboarding with my brother at small resorts in NJ / PA near our childhood home. I quickly discovered that being on the mountain was my passion. Chasing that passion, I went to school in the heart of the white mountains in New Hampshire. I love the mountain culture and how the sport pushes me mentally and physically at all times. On the mountain you can usually find me in the park or racing my friends.

In college I got to explore the more artistic side of me and completely blossomed. I started my small business 111threads on the floor of my freshman dorm room and it quickly exploded into something more. I worked hard to quit my waitressing job and go full time. Today my daily routine consists of prepping for clothing drops, getting my reworks in local stores, and booking my next pop up shops. |
When I was younger I was lucky enough to have immense opportunity to travel with my family. Having 44 states under my belt before I was 18 caused me to be extremely aware of how privileged we are to have this beautiful planet and inspired me to be a voice for mother nature. I entered school as an environmental science major but as my interests grew around art and business the aspect of sustainability came more into focus. Sustainability is a huge passion of mine, it is the future, and I want to continue to help pave that pathway for more businesses and brands.
